It's also capable of scheduling and running spot cleaning sessions. It was able to perform well in standard tests, however it couldn't match the iRobot Roomba j7+ in the carpet deep cleaning test.
With the companion app you can program the S7 to perform a cleaning cycle based on your schedule. The j7+ by iRobot has one of the best self-emptying systems we've seen. It spits out its 14oz / 0.4-liter dust canister into the base station where it automatically empties itself for you to. This helps reduce the amount of trash you'll need to dispose of and you'll only have to replace the dust bag that is on the dock about every 60 days or so, depending on how often you use the J7+.
